7 Critical Things You Should Know
BEFORE You Buy ANY Door!
- Request a FREE digital picture of your new door on your home before you buy it, or the opportunity to see it in a showroom.
- Know the difference in Installed R-Value and the R-Value of the door itself. The Installed R-Value is your key to saving money on your fuel bills and is dependent on HOW it is installed!
- Do the installers have over 100 hours of annual training? Do they comply with OSHA and Building Codes?
- Demand a Guarantee on the contractor’s work that’s PRE-PRINTED on the work order! Not just the door or manufacturers materials, but the installing company’s labor should be a separate warranty.
- Does the contractor offer different thicknesses of steel in the door and do they use heavy-duty hinges on ALL doors?
- Do the door, mounting hardware, seals, and opener all work in harmony with each other for a safe, smooth and quiet operation?
- For your safety – learn if your installer screens their employees, if so how often?
