You might consider replacing your existing door if it is more than eight years old and:

1. You don't like the way it makes your house look.

2. Your door is badly rusted or the wood has become rotted.

3. Your door is a wood panel design and is not insulated. 

4. It is difficult to open and close and has some of the above problems. 

5. Sections are damaged or broken.

6. It sometimes comes out of the tracks and you have to be careful when opening it.

You might only need a door tune-up if:

1. Your door is noisy when it opens or closes.

2. The hinges are loose.

3. Your garage door opener struggles when opening the door.

4. the rollers or cable sheaves wobble when the door moves.

5. The cables are rusted where they connect to the door.

6. It has been two years or more since you've had a tune-up and safety check.
